Hi-Pro(40) DDG
Targeted 40% protein content, suitable for a variety of species
Hi-Pro(40) DDG
40% Protein Feed
Hi-Pro(40) DDG is a specialty feed product with 40% protein and low fiber content proportional to protein and fat. It can replace significant portions of soybean meal and corn in poultry, swine and aquaculture diets, and it is a beneficial source of protein and energy for dairy animals.
How It's Made
Hi-Pro(40) DDG is a grain-based feed product produced with ICM’s Fiber Separation Technology™/ FST Next Gen™. During ethanol production, corn grain is ground and added to hot water to form a mash. Fiber is separated from the mash stream, and enzymes convert the starch to sugar. After the sugar is fermented and the ethanol is removed, the remaining substance (whole stillage) is separated to produce thin stillage and concentrated, high-protein grains. The high-protein grains are then dried, producing a concentrated protein feed.
Hi-Pro(40) DDG is made in biorefineries with Fiber Separation Technology™ by ICM, Inc.
Study Results
Greater Profit Potential
Hi-Pro(40) DDG offered 40 to 50% greater amino acid digestibility in swine than conventionally produced distillers grains, increasing feed efficiency leading to greater profit potential
(Rho et al. 2017)
Greater Filet Yield
Hi-Pro(40) DDG elicited a greater fillet yield in tilapia while demonstrating the same live animal performance compared to soybean meal
(ICM Internal Data)
Feed Less and Gain More
Hi-Pro(40) DDG resulted in an 8% improvement in feed to gain ratio in cattle diets compared to the control
(Garland et al. 2019)
